Busted Headlamp

Preamble:
Decided to mix it up and take the PAX to an area of the park we haven’t been in a while. So I told the PAX to bring some headlamps! Threw everyone for a loop by moseying west towards the woods to start from the pavilion. Ended up near the “arena” parking lot for warm up.
Warm-O-Rama:
Warmed up with some classic
- SSH
- Weed Pickers
- Imperial Walkers
Then decided to really get the PAX’s HR up with a few exercises followed by a lap running around the access road.
- 20 Merkins –> Lap
- 10 Burpees –> Lap
During the second lap, my 15+ yr old headlamp literally fell apart on my head… so that changed some plans a bit.
The Thang:
I was planning on taking the PAX up to softball field 8 and completing a “Dora” complete with trail running laps along the north road trail, but with some of the PAX (and now myself) without headlamps, I opted for a different plan. But we still ran up to the field 8 and down the trail once, and scared off an early morning dog walker (who seemed to think she recognized some guy named “Rich” but we’ve never heard of him…)
Once back down the trail, we ended up staying at “the Arena” for some classic Chapter 11 11’s, with dips at one end and Derkins at the other.
After the PAX finished, went back to the access road for a couple laps of Bataan Death March before time was up and we headed back to the Pavillion.
