3rd best BD this week

Preamble:

The fireworks began early with preprepre, prepre and pre runners everywhere. The earliest crowd took a trip down the greenway to slap the Halcyon waterfall. YHC ran from home and met them there to arrive as Q with no car. Other prerunners also knocked it out in the gloom around Big Creek. It was a pretty epic morning before the BD even began.

Warm-O-Rama:

Mosey to the usual intersection for some runner appreciated stretching in cadence before heading up the hill.

The Thang:

In the top parking lot we did three circuits of catch me if you can.

1. Partner 1 knocks out 5 burpees while partner 2 bear crawls. Partner 1 runs to catch partner 2 then switch to other end of parking lot.
2. Same thing with 10 squats and lunge walk
3. Repeat with 10 inclined merkins and crab walk

Mosey to the top turf field for some 4 corners. Focus was mucho chesto with 10 merkins in different varieties per corner. 10 squats were deposited in the middle of the field after each corner.

Mosey to the middle turf field for another round of 4 corners focused on abs. Big boys, LBCs, American Hammers and Freddy Mercuries were knocked out with 5 wolverines being deposited in the middle each time.

We had enough time for 2 rounds of Indian run back to the flag followed by some Mary.

This BB follows Inseam’s praise of both Crab Cake’s and Whiz’s BD’s this week as being the best. I don’t take it personally but that obviously ranks this Q in 3rd place or lower for the week. Too bad creatine doesn’t keep hands warm or I would have done better.
