Nirvana’s Bubble

Preamble:

Back end of Spring Break and things were quite on the Nirvana channel. Ollie bowed out as he wants his Nirvana VQ to be meaningful to all, and I don’t blame him. YHC was traveling back into town late Friday night so a bit of a gametime decision.

However, as soon as Shortcake hit that HC button with authority, YHC knew he had to post.

It was a party of two this Saturday gloom and Shortcake threw in his fair share of ideas for the BD. Here’s what you all missed….

Warm-O-Rama:

Mosey towards the gym of MHS just in case the impending rain/storms were to hit at the beginning of the workout. The usual warm-up exercises were done (SSH, Imp. Walkers, Merkins, Mtn Climbers, etc).

The Thang:

To the Stadium for:

Stadium steps with various exercises at bottom and top. Round 1: Squats at bottom & Merkins at top. Round 2: Lunges bottom & Dips at top….round 2 lasted longer as we added reps throughtout (10, 20, 30, 40).

Still no rain………….

To the track for some Shortcake laps with every half lap performing exercise. LBC’s, Flutters, American Hammers, Box Cutters, Burpees, etc.

Still no rain………….

Exit the track and on to rock pile for four rounds of Curls, OH Press, Bent Over Rows with run to Birmingham Road and back. Reps of 20, 15, 10, 5.

Still no rain………….

Now to the bus loop and finding some cover b/c it certainly felt like the rain was coming as the temperature started to drop. Three rounds of Wall Sits & BTTW x 30 seconds each.

Still no rain………….

To the parking for follow the leader. Curb step-ups, back pedals, side shuffles, then some bear crawls, side bear crawls, crawl bears, etc.

Still no rain………….

Lastly, time for some Mary starting with planks, shoulder taps, merkins, toe touches, freddie mercuries. And then it was time!

COT:

• Prayers for Shortcake’s Brother-in-Law & Sister-in-Law going through some tough family times.
• Prayers for all those traveling back into town this weekend from spring break trips.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

The forecast did not look good all evening and even in the morning leading up to Nirvana’s start time. However, as Shortcake pointed out Nirvana must just be protected by its own little bubble on Saturday mornings!!!
