Jugs & Hills

AO: Gladiator

When: 12/08/2022

QIC: Spandex

PAX (12): Cheneral, DREAMER, Hitchcock, Macbeth, Mater, Moonshine, RaspberryPi, Speedo, Tar Heel, vertigo, Brownie

Preamble:

YHC loaded 4 water jugs, 6 cinder blocks, and some coffee for this morning’s beatdown.  It actually was quite gloomy in the gloom this morning.  I dropped the 4 water jugs at the base of the back hill for future fun.

No FNGs were present, so we got started.

Warm-O-Rama:

We did a quick jog around the parking lot to get the blood flowing and to pick up a few late arrivals.  Cinders were gathered by each PAX and we were off.  After a short mosey the PAX performed 20 goblet squats and then continued on.  At the tennis courts, the PAX Cusacked with cinders across the lot to the next corner.  It was there that we counted off 1, 2, 1, 2… until were were divided into two teams of 6.  The PAX also partnered up within their respective teams.

The Thang:

We met at the zebra crossing at the bottom of the hill and found 4 water jugs (a couple for each team).

First super set:

Perform 20 kettle swings and 20 curls then run to the top of the hill and back.  Repeat 3 times finishing with the run.

Second superset:

Perform 10 thrusters and then 10 burpees then run to the top of the hill and back.  Repeat 3 times finishing with the run.

Partner water jug carry:

During the set, both teams were moving the water jugs to the top of the hill and then back down.  Each partner duo would complete this once per superset.  We all had an opportunity to do this twice working together with our partner.

After completing these sets, the PAX was tasked with returning to the flag with both their cinders AND the water jugs.  We all worked well as a team to make it back with a few minutes to spare.

We had a few minutes left once we made it back to the flag so we kept moving water jugs around the parking lot until it was 6:00

COT:

  • Pray for Vertigo and his joint pain condition
  • Pray for Hitchcock’s colleague as she has been sick
  • Mater’s family cruise

Naked-Man Moleskin:

It was a pleasure to lead this morning!  Thanks for coming out!
