How Many Parking Spaces?

AO: Boneyard

When: 04/04/2022

QIC: Stroller

PAX (5): Boomer, Dinghy, FannyPack, Speedo, Stroller

Preamble:

The concept of this beatdown came about because:

  1. There are a lot of parking spaces at this AO
  2. They are all full when trying to park for your kid’s Sunday 1:45 soccer game

As we are looking to establish (sub)regional You vs You challenges, something involving the Boneyard and its many parking spaces seemed like a good idea. YHC wanted to try out some ideas with the goal of developing the Johns Creek subregion challenge.

Small but faithful crowd at 0530, let’s get going.

Warm-O-Rama:

Quick loop around the parking lot and circle up:

  • SSH x 20
  • Hillbilly x 12
  • Weedpicker x 12

The Thang:

Starting in the lacrosse parking lot with Webbicides. Run 3 spaces, do 1 mercan, run back to the start. Run 6 spaces, 2 mercans, etc. Got up to 10 mercans here.

Mosey around by the Brumbelow entrance and to the playground. DB drills on the first set of parking spaces. Then it was time for Forest to Sea. Bear crawl the next set, 10 burpees at the island, then crab walk to the main intersection. That was a long crab walk.

Mosey to the lot at the front of the park. Pick the shorter side and proceed with lunge walk across 4 parking spaces, then 4 burpees. Did this until we got to the intersection, which got us 5 stops along the way.

Mosey onto the path and take a left at the baseball field. Stop here for 20 LBCs, 20 crunchy frogs OYO. Then on to our starting point.

Intention was to rinse and repeat the whole thing, but we were already about 30 minutes in. We completed round 2 of Webbicides, then reversed course and headed to the main intersection. Heading downhill, did the lunge/burpee combo again to the first island. With time running out, back to the flag. Time for gas pumpers and pickle pounders. Fin.
