When: 03/24/2022

QIC: Dipstick

PAX (13): Birdie, Blistex, Callahan, Crikey, David 'Wagonwheel' Wright, Ha-ha, HotSauce, Nacho Libre, Pepper, Stu, TO, Untouchable

Preamble:

We started off with a quick disclaimer, and then off we moseyed!

Warm-O-Rama:

After taking a wrong turn at Albuquerque (hey, I’ve only been here in the gloom!), we found our way to the road and circled up for the warm-o-rama. 15 SSH, 10 weed pickers, 15 windmills.

After that, we ran the length of the roadway and back, doing 3 burpees at each speedbump. Had I known there were only 3-4 speed bumps, that would have been 5 burpees. The PAX lucked out this time, and I’ve taken note.

The Thang:

We moseyed over to the football field for a simple one today. Unfortunately, it required some 3rd grade math and this was pre-coffee. So, we went through it a few times and brought out the tack hammer for those that were still confused.

21 Guns: Start at the endzone with 1 carolina dry-dock, run to the 50 and do 5 “backwards merkins”, and then run to the other endzone for 15 overhead claps. Run back to the opposite endzone, add one dry-dock, take off one overhead clap. 5 backwards merkins at the 50 yard line each time.

Hey look, 7 minutes left! We attempted a 4 corners with 20 squats, 20 LBC’s, 15 merkins, and a TBD exercise, accumulating exercises at each corner. By the time we got to the 4th corner and I nearly ate turf trying to explain the 4th exercise, an unknown Co-Q called out crunchy frogs, so, crunchy frogs it was!

40 seconds to go, sprint to the flag! Just kidding, we already clocked 3 miles and my legs were like wet noodles.

COT:

Prayers for Dr. Rico and his family that we hear are doing well. We hope his body heals up well and he makes it out to the gloom one of these days.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

Today was my 21’st day posting this month (thanks to False Start for dragging me out in the rain), in support of the everyday people in Ukraine that are fighting for their country. This has been a great experience thus far. I don’t ask myself, “Should I wake up at 4:45 tomorrow?” and instead ask, “Which AO should I go to tomorrow?” Prior to this challenge, I was 3 days a week tops and would be exhausted. Now, while I go to bed earlier than most people twice my age, I feel I have gained so much endurance. Worth trying if you have the time in the AM to do it.

Also, grab a friggin’ Q spot. You’ll probably make a mistake or need to call an audible. No one cares. We’ll help out and you’ll grow from it.
