Hill Valley’s Wettest Hits

AO: Windjammer

When: 03/23/2022

QIC: Cox

PAX (6): Dipstick, False Start, Funyun, Hungry Hungry, NRA

Preamble:

YHC saw the call for a Q and took the plunge for a VQ at the Windjammer. Was looking for an inspiration and saw the threat of lightning. But you never know exactly when lightning will strike. And then like that, lightning struck. The only time I’ve ever known when a lightning strike was going to happen was Hill Valley in November 1955. It struck the clock tower and sent a young Marty McFly back to the future. And so the inspiration was born. Started with a list of songs from the movie beginning with the opening theme song and going into some Huey Lewis with the power of love and then into lollipop. Followed the theme and proceeded with additional Huey Lewis and some Chuck Berry. Each exercise getting closer and closer to the likely increasingly wet parking lot. Hoping for a heavy rain for some Roll Over Beethoven on the ground and a strong finish of my Dingaling to make sure all get fully wet in every place including the name of the last song. Wasn’t sure how it would go.

Warm-O-Rama:

Disclaimer with standard verbal assault of fall start an offer a slow mosey to coupon pile and 50 feet later for the warm-up. Playlist says 43 minutes so not a lot of time to dilly dally

Slow mosey from the flag to the upper parking lot

Prayers for safe travel general health all around. Blood drive coming up Friday and April 8. YHC traveling to Charlotte to spend time with a friend who’s got a bit of Sad Clown going on so hoping to bring in some light.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

It’s always a pleasure to lead this group of phone men. Thank you for posting. I couldn’t see the faces in the gloom and sometimes the rain was heavy so I couldn’t hear the groans. But I could certainly hear the laughter and the back farts. I spoke with my buddy no today and told him that we prayed for a good meeting for him and he greatly appreciated it so thank you for lifting your prayers up for a long distance connection. I was explaining my friend what E was like and I told him I had heard on a podcast one time that it was like recess for grown-ups. It’s such a wonderful way to start today before we have to get serious and do the business of being dedicated fathers spouses brothers and overall invigorated leaders in our community.

Follow up on my trip to Charlotte. I met with my buddy and I had sent him the Art of manliness F3 podcast. If you haven’t listened to it you should. I sent him this to have a quick listen and he told me that he was feeling like a “sad clown”. His words, not mine. It takes courage to admit it. This was not a meeting about F3 but I just kept telling him what F3 means to me and how much strength and encouragement it brings to my day if for no other reason then just to be heard. It is certainly an invigorating way to start the day.
