Playing the lucky numbers

Preamble:

Initially planned as a celebration of baseball coming back and a return to the diamond…unfortunately, the powers that be had other plans. Instead, just a good old-fashioned beatdown focused on the numbers 7 and 11. Craps table or not, we could all use a little luck.

Warm-O-Rama:

Pax moseyed to the dam for SSH, copperhead squats, weed pickers, arm circles and a few covids before heading to the boat dock.

The Thang:

The beatdown started with a quick trivia question to name the three  baseball HOFers to wear #7. Burpee penalty for anyone missed. Group got Mickey Mantle correct, but missed Al Simmons and Freddie Lindstrom. Then to the 7 of Diamonds workout. At each “base,” Pax had to complete 7 reps of each exercise the first time around, then 14, 21, 28, 21, 14 and 7.

7 – HR Merkins

14 – Monkey humpers

21 – Shoulder taps

28 – LBCs

21 – Squats

14 – Gas pumpers

7 – Carolina drydocks

After that was completed, we moved on to the 11s with Dying Cockroaches and Bobby Hurleys…Bernie one way and sprint the other.

Then back to the flag and no more counting, which can be a struggle in the gloom.
