Sweep the leg!
AO: The Hooch
When: 01/19/2022
QIC: Tenderfoot
PAX (15): Angus, BallBoy, Birdie, Boomer, Feathers, Flo, Jetson, Maguire, McCracken, Meatball, Popper, Ready-Mix (F3), Sugar, Sunshine
Preamble:
T’was a warm 32 degrees and a fantastic morning to christen YHC with my VQ. We had 15 PAX show up, including 1 PR (BallBoy) earning extra credit. A montage of delightful 80’s movie montage hits were promised and partially delivered due to technical difficulties. However, the champion within all Pax today allowed us to overcome and reach the top. (cue guitar solo)
Warm-O-Rama:
We kicked things off with a warm-up of:
- Weedpickers
- Morrocan Night Clubs
- Hillbillies
- SSH
At about this point, everyone was feeling the “Never say die” voice inside of us and we did a short mosey over to the movie theater.
The Thang:
The Thang on the menu at the movies this morning consisted of nachos, a large buttery popcorn and the below board o’ fun as we enjoyed our 80’s movie hits.
Dora-style we all paired up and executed the following, while trading off for a good-ole run to the end of the parking lot island.
First half (with runs ending in 3 burpees)
- 100 merkins
- 100 LBC
- 100 Mountain Climbers
Intermission to go grab a refill on the popcorn and mosey for a big loop around entire parking lot
Second half (with runs ending in 3 dips)
- 100 dry docks
- 100 monkey humpers
- 150 squats
At this point, we just knew that Drago didn’t stand a chance so we did a mosey to the parking lot behind Ari.
- 20 SSH
YHC realized he had run out of planned exercises and we all jumped on the group decision to do 11’s with burpees and Bobby Hurleys.
We did a mosey back to the flag and just enough time for Mary featuring:
- Gas pumpers
- V-ups
COT:
We started the circle of trust and several announcements and asks for thoughts and prayers were shared.
- Flo shared some updates on his mom’s current health situation and the group joined in lifting her up in prayers.
- Flo shared wonderful news on a new birth announcement for his niece.
- The reminder on the Climb Killi challenge was shared which will be posted on slack again.
- Tenderfoot reminded the group on the Convergence at Terminus this Saturday at 7 AM for the 10 year anniversary of F3 Atlanta. (Jokes and remarks were shared on safety issues around GT area.)
Naked-Man Moleskin:
YHC really appreciated the opportunity to lead today. It is interesting being a part of a BD from the eyes of a Q and thinking through what it takes to plan something as straight-forward as a group work-out and keeping all in sync.
I have gotten a lot out of my F3 experience in the short couple months I have been involved to date. My hope for the new year is to continue to grow within our F3 community and continue to get to know everyone that makes this organization what it is today. I appreciate it. Signing out!….
