1st and 20 Cinder Smash

Preamble:

Q was going for a football theme “1st and 20” to honor the game tonight.  Q has no true dog in the hunt, but plenty of Georgia support amongst the PAX.

Warm-O-Rama:

Mosey to the rec center parking lot for 12 x SSH & Weed Pickers.  Michael Phelps and arm circles to get the arms ready for cinders.

The Thang:

Grab your cinder…2 stations setup in the parking lot with 1 side on a ~4ft wall and the other side on the opposite curb.  The 4ft wall seemed like a great idea until the first exercise started.

• Overhead carry to the wall, 20 step ups, overhead carry to the curb, 20 cinder curls
• Murder bunnies to the wall, 20 step ups, murder bunnies to the curb, 20 cinder overhead press
• Overhead carry to the wall, 20 step ups, overhead carry to the curb, 20 cinder rows

End-Q1

PAX repeated the sequence for 4 quarters.  Modified in Q3/Q4 to swap the curls, press, and rows with merkins and LBC’s.  Q predicted scores of the game: 24/24 at half, 48-41 (UGA) as the final.

Credit to whoever came up with the cinder step idea on the wall!  3 broken cinders total, not bad for a Monday.
