Preamble:
With the Injury Reserve list maintaining a count of more PAX than usual this summer, QIC volunteered to step-up to lead after some questionable antics landed brother Pony Boy on the IR…again. Seeing as Zima had already made the PAX visit his fav’ hill on the backside of Bad Apple AO earlier in the week with an appreciable amount of mosey and some moans and groans were still heard about Ollie’s cinder-slugfest at Atlas AO on Tuesday, QIC decided to keep the mosey to the minimum and practice the K.I.S.S. methodology on a muggy, no-breeze Friday a.m.
Warm-O-Rama:
Loosen up the joints with karaoke around the lot switching directions at half-way point, Toy Soldiers x15, Sun gods x10 (each direction), hillbillies x15
The Thang:
Keepin’ it Simple
Reps: 10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1; 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10
Exercises:
Down the pyramid-Burpee, Air squat, Hand release Merks, Rear Lunge (dbl cnt)
Up the pyramid- 2-clap Burpee (OH clap on pavement replaces merkin movement in exercise), Air squat, Hand release Merks, lateral lunge (dbl cnt)
One PAX suggested the A/C be turned on during first part of WO, so, QIC instructed PAX to take a lap around lot upon completion of last round of single exercises and again upon completion of rounds 5 and 10 when ascending pyramid.
The mind games and deals with ourselves began happening on the way back up the pyramid. It’s here where PAX benefitted the most from this particular beatdown.
Polished off WO with a couple of rounds of Mary before time was called.
