Bad Reputation

Preamble:

YHC was feeling guilty for not visiting our brothers to the far-AlphaNorth so grabbed a Q back in spring for during the summer when school is out.  A chance encounter with Script Kitty during the last Alpha convergence provided the reminder I needed to make sure I didn’t miss it as I’d already forgotten.  Apparently, the PAX were expecting me to bring the pain so I did not want to dissapoint!

Warm-O-Rama:

Mosey in the opposite direction as usual and head down to the back parking lot for some SSH, weed picker, IW, Moroccan nightclub, and copperhead squats IC

The Thang:

Main event for today would be the C.L.I.M.B. routine, which I also Q’d here back in 2018 when I last visited.  The routine is fairly simple once you figure out the pattern of escalating rep counts each round.  start with 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and add one rep to the first exercise and add by that many to each exercise throughout the round.  Crystal clear right?

C – crab cake (alpha) (1,2,3,4,5)

L – lunge (alpha) (2,4,6,8,10)

I – imperial walker (alpha) (3,6,9,12,15)

M – merkin (4,8,12,16,20)

B – burpee (5,10,15,20,25)

take a lap around the lot in between rounds.  Finish burpees with the six and then start a slow recovery mosey…..wait what’s that?  A hill!!!  Never let a good hill pass you by during a BD.

11’s with mountain climbers at the bottom and merkins at the top.  various extra merkins for early finisher PAX while waiting for the six.

Last stop was some partner wall work at the pavilions by the flag.  Partner 1 holds BTTW while partner 2 does 10 dying cockroaches (alpha).  Flapjack so each does 2 rounds.

COT:

Deuce re-introduced himself to the PAX as the 6th man and prayers were spoken for Skynrd’s hip, Reuben’s health, another PAX’s wife’s surgery, and for Crumpet’s potential car troubles (which were resolved later!)

Crumpet shared a great MOC about doing everything with excellence as that’s how our creator made us to be.  It’s not about being perfect but putting everything into all you do in order to live your best life and be your best self.  Be an example to the world that makes others want to follow you to a better place of advantage.  Be the Bacon!

Naked-Man Moleskin:

So cool to see the growth up here!  Script Kitty did a great job helping to lead the charge and the AO is clearly in good hands with Ace taking up the helm.  It was a privilege to lead and YHC will try to make it up more often.
