Claudette Who?

AO: The Gladiator

When: 06/22/2021

QIC: Scratch-Off

PAX (11): Postal, Laces, Speedo, Tebow, Snowbird, DC2, Iron Head, Dreamer, Shiner, Spandex, Scratch-off

Preamble:

That was fun, but honestly a little disappointing. If you’ve been following the trend recently, I’ve gotten in the habit of Qing (or Q-ing? So many “dash or no dash” questions recently) another AO that will remain nameless to workshop some fun BDs before leading the Gladiator. That was the plan this time too, so with rumors of Spandex getting more cinders, I decided to put a little spin on a cinder-based IronPax BD from September 2020. Went pretty well at the Wreck, but ran long after getting a little carried away with the surprise game at the end. No biggie, that’d be an easy adjustment for this morning.

In summary, we were looking really really good for my first Q as Site Q.

Then Claudette came in.

Then our stash of cinders disappeared for the second time.

I think John Grisham’s new book is about this very scenario.

Warm-O-Rama:

Right as I got done disclaiming the PAX, someone started taking pictures with their flash on. So, we vehicle-moseyed to the pavilion for cover. Don’t worry, fanatics, it was still outside. Just, ya know, not in range of 1B Volts. I’m very allergic to that many volts (is this an Exxon Ad?).

Warm up was SSH, Copper Head Squats, Imperial Walkers, Windmills, and Arm Circles.

The Thang:

10 burpees on one side of the pavilion, Bear crawl to the other, 25 reps of exercise, lunge back & repeat:
  • 10 burpees
  • 25 merkins
  • 10 burpees
  • 25 American Hammers
  • 10 burpees
  • 25 squats
  • 10 burpees
  • 25 table shrugs
  • 10 burpees
  • 25  merkins again
  • 10 burpees
  • 26 alt single leg RDL (13 each)
10 burpees
Mary for the 6
2 min of high knees.
Modify, rinse (not literally), and repeat with squats instead of burpees and crab walk instead of bear crawl
  • 10 Squats
  • 25 American Hammers
  • 10 Squats
  • 26 step ups (13 each)
  • 10 Squats
Air Chair for the 6
Finished up with some Jack Webb. Shoutout to Shiner for making us finish the 10/40 round even after the final bell.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

This is gonna be a fun year. I’ll quote a wise man who once said said, “The most important thing for a leader to have is followers.”

Don’t think that y’all have escaped the original BD just because of a tropical depression.

Also, STOP TAKING OUR CINDERS.
