A dose of George Harrison, Jerry Reed and Cinder Blocks!

AO: Bad Apple

When: 08/31/2020

QIC: Rusty

PAX (12): Brutus, Sprocket, Heidi, Lil' Jon, Woody, Norwood, Sparty, Pass Interference, Swamp Donkey, Chalupa, GOAT

Preamble:

Badapple couldn’t decide if it wanted to rain or not.  A few pulled in right at 5:29 am to make it a happy, even number.  Let’s go!

Warm-O-Rama:

Mosey’d off up by Hardscrabble to Jerry Reed blaring.  This got the attention of a jogger and walker on the other side of the road that didn’t know what was going on.  The group ran across Etris to the shopping center to circle up.  Warm-Up:

Toy Soldier x 10

Arm Circles x 10 (both directions)

Windmill (Abe Vagoda Style) x 10

To George Harrison’s smash hit “Got My Mind Set On You”, the PAX will do Mountain Climbers.  Every time they hear “Set On You”, they will do a merkin.

Talk about a warm up…

The Thang:

Mosey’d back to the flag to the White Stripes.

Back at Donkey’s truck, everyone is instructed to grab a cinder block and a partner.

Round 1: Overhead press w/Cinder (5 count pushing up/5 count taking it down) + 2 laps in the drop-off circle.  In between laps, do 20 shoulder taps.  Rinse and repeat so each person of the group goes twice.

Round 2: Bicep Curls w/Cinder (5 count pushing up/5 count taking it down) + 2 laps in the drop-off circle.  In between laps, do 15 diamond merkins.  Rinse and repeat so each person of the group goes twice.

Round 3: Rows w/Cinder (5 count pushing up/5 count taking it down) + 2 laps in the drop-off circle.  In between laps, do 15 groiners.  Rinse and repeat so each person of the group goes twice.

Rounding it out by exercising to “The Gambler” by Kenny Rogers.  A slow squat, then a burpee whenever Kenny says “Know When To.”

Didn’t get far into “The Gambler” before we called time.

COT:

Prayer requests for our country and the need to find compromise on many fronts.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

Glad everyone made it out this morning.  The entire PAX gave their all.  Now, when they hear “Got My Mind Set On You”, it will be instinct to do Mountain Climbers and Merkins…
