What’s Shaking Bacon

13 Pax posted this morning at the Firehouse. The Pax was excited to get a morning with a perfect 50°. Come on Spring! We had 3 FNG’s: Adrian, Huggie Bear, and Bacon.  Welcome! Bacon is visiting the states from India. He and his wife manage an orphanage that averages between 90 – 100 children. Additionally, he oversees a men’s bible school.

FNG naming process:

Adrian – real name Rocky. BTW, Adrian pulled a serious Elvis during the COT. Seriously, like a 15 minute Elvis. Good work.

Huggie Bear – he likes to slap the PAX on the arse and he gives a lot of hugs.  He fit in perfectly.

Bacon – Indians consider pork very unclean and nasty to eat. Bacon was perfect. The Pax did not know how awesome this name was during the name-o-rama. During my last trip to India, YHC talked Bacon into taking me to the slums so we could buy pork (only the absolute POOREST people in India will handle pork).  We made a makeshift grill and I cooked BBQ! YHC talked Bacon into eating it. He was around 35 years old at the time and pork had never entered his body before. He got sick for 2 days. Priceless!
