12 Days of Christmas

When YHC recently discovered that Toothpick would be unable attend his VQ, he sent out an APB to the MW boys to rally for a Group Q.  With that, plans were made:  O come all ye faithful to the Wreck for a beat-down led by Magnolia Walk’s (not so) wise men bearing frankincense and myrrh (well, coupons).

Warm Up

Grease Monkey kicked things off by leading the PAX on a short run up the hill to the rec center parking lot for a quick round of the following:

  • 30 SSH
  • 30 Merkins
  • 30 Mountain Climbers
  • 30 Toy Soldiers

The Thang

Mosey back down the hill to the football field parking lot when the PAX noticed Grinch’s sleigh (aka “sweat wagon”) parked conveniently in front of the field.  Grab a “white elephant” of your choice and continue to the football field for 12 Days of Christmas led by AFLAC, Bronco, DD, and Circus consisting of the following (run to the 25 and back between each round):

  • Round 1 (AFLAC):  3 Burpees
  • Round 2 (Bronco):  6 Elf on the Shelf (on six, coupon to side, lift to “shelf” and place on opposite side — repeat), 3 Burpees
  • Round 3 (DD):  9 Monkey Humpers, 6 EoS, 3 Burpees
  • Round 4 (Circus):  12 Romanian Dead-lifts, 9 MH, 6 EoS, 3 Burpees
  • Round 5:  15 Diamond Merkins, 12 RDL, 9 MH, 6 EoS, 3 Burpees
  • Round 6:  18 Lawnmowers (low-rows w/coupon), 15 DM, 12 RDL, 9 MH, 6 EoS, 3 Burpees
  • Round 7:  21 LBC, 18 LM, 15 DM, 12 RDL, 9 MH, 6 EoS, 3 Burpees

Cusak back to the sleigh to return our gifts and mosey back to the flag.  YHC was originally planning on a 5x multiple for each round until he realized that it would result in 1820 repetitions.  An audible was called at the last minute to narrow down to 3x, which still netted a healthy 1068 reps and placed us back at the flag with only seconds to spare.  No time for Mary today.
