Bad-Atlas In Effect

Preamble:

After a lot of discussion, trash-talk, sarcasm and pure brotherly love, the decision to move a tonnage of coupons and relocate AO Atlas was finally scheduled.  YHC modified the scheduled BD at Bad Apple to ensure that we combined a solid agenda but helped the Godfather (I-Beam) in his quest.  Starting a little earlier 7 PAX showed up at Bad Apple on a beautiful and slightly brisk fall morning.

The plan was relayed to the PAX and put into motion.

The Thang:

The PAX would embark on a 1.75 mile run to the AO location of Atlas, where there were approximately 15 cinders, 7 Atlas balls (ranging up to 50lbs) a couple of logs were still being stored.  During the run, every street that the PAX crossed, they were instructed to do 10 Merkins before continuing.  (4 streets). Upon entering the former location – RHS, most of the work had already been done by 6 other PAX (Squeegee, Swamp Donkey, Aflac, Bronco, Foley, and I-Beam) and the final coupons were loaded into a truck.

All PAX drove 2 miles to the new location – Lebanon Baptist Church (LBC…coincidence? I think not!) All coupons were unloaded, all PAX circled up, received a coupon, and began to do some heavy lifting.  YHC was graciously given the 50lb ball for all the mouthin’ he’d been doing previously.

I-Beam led us in:

15 Squats with coupon on right shoulder, 15 squats with coupon on left shoulder.

15 Deadlifts

15 Shoulder Presses

15 Curls

Foley decided we should do 15 Hodors and demonstrated them…well…give him the A for effort.  Rusty showed us all up by doing them with amazing ease.

Time called for the Bad Apple group to get back to AO by 6:15 and we were off on a 1.47 mile run.  Don’t forget the 10 Merkins at each street (5 more streets).  Rest of PAX stayed behind to do some more coupon work and perhaps work on their form?

Always fun and a privilege to be able to lead these men and embark on early morning adventures and BDs.  Great to see the camaraderie displayed by all the folks who showed up to help move Atlas to its new location.
