PAX: Ha-ha, Pumba, Nacho Libre, TMI, Callahan, Beaker and Delta
7 PAX braved the “virus” to obtain some physical and mental relief from the strain of being quarantined. I had much bigger plans for my first Q, but when life gives you a sh** sandwhich you adapt.
Quick mosey around the parking lot and back to the flag for some SSH, weedpickers, and imperial walkers. This got the blood pumping and prepared for what was to come.
A mosey over to the football field got us setup for what may or may not have caused YHC to have second thoughts. I set the PAX up for what I called the “Confused” 5k. Essentially we were going to run 3.2 miles in circles around the football field… not so bad… or so you thought! With each lap being plus or minus 400 yards we would need to complete 12 revolutions. With one minor catch! Each time the PAX reached the starting point we would stop and do 10 merkins, 10 big boy situps, and 20 squats. We also waited for the six on each round while the remaining PAX sat in air chair position adding an additional level of pain to the quadriceps. YHC was super proud of the group as we completed all 12 rounds in just about 33 minutes.
We finished up with 2 – 100 yard runs down the field starting in the back pedal poistion and switch back and forth every 10 yards.
Continued prayers for health and safety. Prayers for Crikey as he and other church leaders help to ease the burden on local communities.
This was my first time as Q on a workout, and it was an absolute honor to lead such an amazing group of men. Looking forward to having the privilege again in the near future.
