Pinch Hit

Preamble:

YHC is back in the gloom after a small hiatus and has been itching to get back on the Q wagon with all slots filled in AlphaNorth until next month.  While patiently waiting I had the chance to pinch hit for Swiper who was unexpectedly and unceremoniously injured in a random household accident last week.

Warm-O-Rama:

Mosey in between the football fields and up around the walking trail and back down to the big ass parking lot for the usual assortment of SSH, IW, weed pickers, and windmills IC to get the blood flowing on this brisk morning.

The Thang:

Thang 1:

4 corner ab-ripper in the big ass parking lot.  high-knees and butt-kickers the lengths and bear crawl the widths in between corners.

corner 1 – 25 V-ups

corner 2 – 50 LBC

corner 3 – 75 flutter kicks (Alpha)

corner 4 – 100 American hammers (Alpha)

Thang 2:

Mosey over the the “good” football field for a fitting routine called 1st and ten.  PAX lineup on the goal line and start with 10 merkins and 1 burpee, sprint to the opposite goal line and slow mosey back to the 10-yd line for 9 merkins and 2 burpees.  Sprint to opposite goal mosey back to 20-yd line for 8 merkins and 3 burpees.  Keep the pattern going until you reach the far 10-yd line to finish with 10 burpees and 1 merkin.  This one is as fun as it sounds.

Sprint back to the starting goal line and then mosey back to the flag for some box cutters, freddie mercury, and T-bombs to close us out.

COT:

Prayers for Sculley’s business partner who recently had a stroke, McDuff’s relative having open heart surgery today, and for our nation to have a peaceful and uneventful transition of power this week.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

’twas a cold morning the likes of which the fartsack calls like a siren from the deep to stay in bed under the warm covers and just pretend the alarm never went off.  T-claps to the men who chose to accelerate with the DRP instead and put in solid work to start the week.  Never met a HIM who regretted posting for a BD after the fact…

Major T-CLAPs to Crab Cake as well, who has not missed a single BD since his first post weeks ago.  Great to have another HIMbassador among us!
