Michigan Fall

AO: Badapple

When: 2025-01-08

QIC: Rusty

PAX (8): Buckshot, Chalupa, Ponyboy, Sprocket, Sweep3r, Tank, Turbine

Preamble:

I never worked in sales and it showed when I tried to recruit for a very cold morning.  A cinder block was requested.  It wasn't super cold, but the wind was unforgiving.

Warm-O-Rama:

Michael Phelps x 12 Windmill x 12 Imperial Walker x 10 Toy Soldier x 10 Warm-up lap around the parking lot

The Thang:

The PAX started with Hello Dolly's while I played Coal Chamber's cover of "Shock the Monkey" (featuring Ozzy Osborne).  Every time they said "Monkey" in the song, PAX would do an LBC.  Ponyboy later expressed he didn't like the song (the guy that plays Wham! said this). Next, with your cinder, the PAX was to work through the following:
  • 12 Overhead Squats
  • 20 V-Ups
  • 40 Chest Presses
Rinse and repeat twice (3 rounds in total) Next, we mosey'd down the trail to the bottom of the grass hill.  There, the PAX lined up.  PAX was to do bird dogs.  The first PAX (me) would run up the hill, do 5 burpees and run back down.  The next PAX in line would run up the hill as soon as I started my burpees and do the same.  Then, after running back down the hill, do the bird dogs.  When the last PAX in line finished,  we did it again, but this time, do fire hydrants lifting your right leg.  After all burpees were done, the last same was more of the same, with PAX doing fire hydrants lifting their left leg before/after doing the hill and burpees. We mosey'd through the parking lot, up the steps to the baseball field.  PAX followed the same structure.  Line up, do crunchy frogs, until it's your turn to bear crawl around the bases.  When the last of the PAX finished, we mosey'd by the pull-up bars, down the trail and back to the flag. There, we finished by doing the following:
  • 12 Diamond Mercans
  • 20 Skull Crushers
  • 40 Rows
  • 12 Lunges (beta)
  • 20 Overhead press
  • 40 side Squats
  • 12 Reverse front raises
  • 20 Curls
  • 40 Swings
Time!

COT:

Prayed for my Aunt Donna, who passed away yesterday.  Prayed for Goose and his battle.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

Fortunate to have these men come out this morning.  It would have been really easy to sleep in and they made that tough choice.  I'm lucky to be a part of this group. Thank you Ponyboy for the coffee.
