Fun and games week at Rubicon for Christmas week.Warm-O-Rama:
Mosey to FOD and circle around the pitching mound for SSH, weed pickers, imperial walkers and OYO stretch.The Thang:
The Academy boys joined us at the end of the warmups and we divided up the group into 2 teams. Pipe ball was made up by my 2.0's (they call it cul-de-sac ball since that's where they play). It's a combo of softball, dodge ball and kickball. Played with a large playground ball and a 5-6 foot section of PVC pipe as a bat. Softball rules mostly apply except baserunners can also get out by being pegged with the ball while running. The pitch can bounce as it comes to home, but if is rolling or bouncing below the knees, the batter can kick instead of swing. Exercises were:- Strike out - 5 merkins
- Other out - 5 mountain climbers
- Batter on base - 5 squats
- Run scored - 2 burpees
