Preamble:
Coming off a coronavacation, it was great to be back out in the gloom. The plan today was to just have some fun.Warm-O-Rama:
Mosey around the parking lot once with butt kickers and high knees, then circle up for SSH, weed pickers, windmills, imperial walkers, arm circles and Michael Phelps.The Thang:
We played through 5 school yard classics: Whamo Lunge Walks:- Get a Frisbee
- Everyone gets a number & takes a turn in order
- On your turn, throw the Frisbee
- While it's in the air, everyone sprints towards the Frisbee
- When it touches down (initial bounce), everyone stops and lunge walks to the final resting spot.
- Round 1: Frankenstein
- Round 2: Duck Walk
- Round 1: Crab Walk
- YHC started in the center as the first Shark.
- We picked two blue lines that run sideways across the field.
- Minnow boundaries are either side of the field by the fence.
- Sharks end each round with 5 burpees while Minnows SSH.
- We did 3 or 4 rounds
- I may have sacrificed some of my fellow PAX to survive
- Every starts in a low plank Circle. FNG Zamboni was first "it".
- "It" bear crawls around circle; once he picks a goose, the goose bear crawl chases him around the circle.
- Results were mixed as apparently I suck at bear crawls. We just rotated "it" with each round.
- Don't try to outrun an actual bear by bear crawling if you're with Brownie or Shrimp.
- Partner up, Line up on at center field.
- 1st partner lunge walks
- 2nd partner does a round of Mucho Chesto, 5 x 5 positions, then sprints to their partner
