The Hour Glass

AO: Norseman

When: 2023-10-03

QIC: TO

PAX (13): 40, Bottom Bunk, Cam's, DeLorean, DirtyMO, Ha-ha, Huffy, Knight Rider, Matlock, muTTon, Shortcake, Slick, TO

Preamble:

The Norseman numbers aren't quite what they were a month ago but they took a bump up from the September numbers.  Perhaps in hopes of YHC sharing my recent experiences on the Golden Bachelor as suggested by Ha-Ha.   It was a cool crisp 56 degrees at 0525 and YHC was committed to sharing a Beatdown with the Men of the North, but perhaps not those stories that would even make Untouchable blush.

Warm-O-Rama:

0530 and the Pax moseyed to the big parking lot for a quick lap and then circled up.  SSHs, Weed Pickers, Arm Circles and Covids.

The Thang:

Circuit training was in order.  Each corner of the parking lot had an exercise.  Merkins on the NW corner, Flutter Kicks on the SW, Squats on the SE, and American Hammers on the NE.  In the middle were six cement blocks weighing 25.5 pounds each along with a list of four exercizes. The pax split up into four teams, each starting at a corner.  After completing the exercise the team would move in a counter clockwise direction to the next station.  When traversing from NW to SW and SE to NE did so by way of the middle station to perform the next exercise on the list there.  Those exercises were:  Overhead Press, Curls, Kettle Bell Swings and Thrusters.  The beatdown began and the pax didn't stop until YHC called back to the flag for a few minutes of Mary.  LBCs and Matlock led some Flutter Kicks because we didn't have enough already.  Hopefully a good full body work out for all with more running than one might have noticed.

COT:

Prayers for the Mutton family that the final stages of his M's pregnancy goes well and 2.0 arrives healthy soon.  October 21 is the Noresman's opportunity for a Third F, which is Faith, or "doing something outside of ourselves" as intended by our founders OBT and Dredd.  We will lead a beatdown that morning at No Longer Bound and make them breakfast.  Ha Ha has indicated he might be doing a brisket for breakfast brisket biscuits.  If you have not had Ha Ha brisket, you gotta mark this in your calendar.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

Cool thing about this morning was each team, on their own, decided to stick together.  Even though there were all levels of fitness and speed, the pax decided to stay in their packs instead of doing their own thing.  Pretty darn cool Norsemen!  Good to see Slick back at the Norseman and hope that continues!  IPC 5 will be Thursday... Look out!!!
