New Turf + AllBirds = Floating on a Cloud

Preamble:

False Start technically beat me to the punch on volunteering to Q this morning.  But then he graciously offered for me to take it & to be my first HC.  What a guy!

YHC left in such a hurry I grabbed my wool AllBirds instead of my Salomons.  My feet were cozy at least!

Warm-O-Rama:

… included a mozie around the parking lot, then down to the playground.  We circled up and knocked out SSH’s, Imperial Walkers, Weedpickers, etc.

We then lined up on the sidewalk in a high plank for a round of Morning Call.  First PAX does 5 Pullups counting aloud, while the rest Mercan in time.  Continue until everyone has had a turn.

The Thang:

Mozie back to the flag to pick up the Deck of Death and a speaker, then down to the FOD which was… OPEN.  Yes, our field is OPEN.  And soft and supple as a pair of… AllBirds!  My feet were in heaven this morning.

We took turns drawing three cards, then picking two of the three to actually do together.  We managed to find the 200, 300, and 400 meter sprints- running around that field was glorious.  Kept this up until 6:05 ish.

We ended with a round of Captain Thor out in the dark of the field.  BBSU:American Hammer, 1:4 ratio escalating to 10:40.  We finished up just in time and made it back to the flag at 6:15.

Queen’s greatest hits was the soundtrack.

COT:

Reminders about CPR/AED training, Hillseekers, and the get’r’done run.

Pinkey rightly suggested we need to keep all coupons off of the fresh FOD turf until the end of baseball season.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

I was a bit cheesed off about wearing the wrong shoes, but actually it went fine.  Awesome to see our FOD back in business.  Great crew and awesome morning.  Pleasure to lead.
