PAX (16): 5-Way, Benny, Crab Cake, Inseam, Napalm, Olaf, Schneider, Snowman, Spit Valve, Star Child, Swiper, Whiz, Corndog, Soul Glo, Lasso, Scampi
Preamble:
5 pre runners including YHC attacked some hills. As we were running, I could hear the faint sound of a brown alarm off in the distance and began to wonder if a Q ever had to deal with an Elvis situation in the middle of his own beatdown. After planning for such an exigency, YHC decided to break away from the PAX and cut short my own pre-run to take care of business.
Warm-O-Rama:
Mosey to the back lot and circle up for the disclaimer and SSH, windmill, sun gods, copperhead squats, and copperhead merkins IC. During the loop Benny shared that he too was plotting for a potential Elvis situation that could arise during the BD. Clearly both he and YHC chose poorly last night on the queen front. This actually added to the plan to tour the AO this morning…
The Thang:
THANG 1:
AO tour with stops at each pavilion and concession building throughout (also to point out all the bathrooms available to Benny and future PAX should the need arise).
Simple series of exercises that escalate and add at each stop. Total of 7 stops with the following exercises and reps:
5 burpees, 10 derkins, 15 lunges, 20 crunchy frog, 25 squats, 30 LBC
7th stop was the commissioners building so we did 10 wolverines to make it special.
A couple unnamed PAX also cheated with some egregious softcockery so all PAX paid a penalty of 20 mike tysons for penance.
THANG 2:
Hot potato. All PAX make a tight circle facing out and shoulder to shoulder holding air chair. YHC picked a nice coupon to pass around the circle while holding position. Keep going until Q says stop, which happened to be when Snowman dropped it, so we all did 5 Hugh Jackman’s as a penalty. A few more rounds to end on a good note and back to the flag to give Corndog some practice calling cadence on squats which he did great.
COT:
Awesome to have Scampi with us who just moved north into the region. Prayers for his first daughter due on 10/17, his pregnant wife, and himself as they enter the home stretch. Prayers also for Starchild’s friend’s son Taylor, who was taken way too young almost exactly 5 years ago.
Praises for a successful Darth Visor event over the weekend.
