Preamble:

Lighter attendance expected due to the convergence at the #Yard, but 10 PAX stood ready at 7am to begin some hard work.

Warm-O-Rama:

Quick disclaimer and YHCed called for some moseyes. The pax asked about the use of plural but when we run around the soccer field and a couple sprints were introduced between the slower pace jogs the intent was clear.

Windmills, hill billies and overhead claps finished the warm up

The Thang:

Thang 1

Lined up on the short end of the soccer field. YHC decided not to share the whole plan at once, so broke it into 4 rounds that allowed us to start each round together.

First round – 5 alpha count Imperial Walkers, run to the 20 yard line for 20 merkins, run back and do another set of 5 alpha count Imperial Walkers.

Second round – 40 LBCs at the mid field, but still start and finish with IW and still do 20 Merkins when you cross the 20 yard line, both ways. Low plank for the 6.

At this point the men realized it’s going to get hard very soon.

Third round – 60 alpha count Mountain Climbers on the other side’s 20 yard line, with IW, Merkins and LBCs along both ways. Air Squat for the 6.

Last round added 80 SSH at the other end. No Surrenders waiting for the 6.

Thang 2

Moseyed to the lower end of the hill at the park’s entrance. Originally planned as parter exercise, but 2 pax said upfront they will need to leave early. So instead divided to two groups.

One group moseyed up the hill to the stop sign and came back, the other AMRAP Curls with the coupons from the nearby pile. Then switch.

3 more such rounds with Coupon Squats, Bench Presses and American Hammers. The last done with or without coupons per each pax’s discretion.

Kudos to Doughboy that kept his group together on the run up and down the hill!

2 PAX left us before the 3rd or 4th round.

Calf raises

Calf raises on the stairs. 1 on the first, 2 on the second, 3,… Restart count on each level. YHC heard someone asking at first if that is a real exercise but by the time we finished just the first level with 13 steps (almost 100 calf raises just there) everyone felt the pain.

Mary – moseyed back to the flag for some flatter kicks, gas pumpers, rosalitas and dollies.
