A little taste of IPC: I can’t feel my shoulders

Preamble:

2 for the pre-run and 2 for the pre-ruck.  It’s going to be a good morning.

Warm-O-Rama:

Mosey over to the dam for the following:

• SSH
• Imperial walkers
• Weed pickers
• Overhead claps
• Seal claps (warm up those shoulders, it’s gonna be fun!)

Mosey to the sports park (quietly, so the HOA mafia doesn’t get us).

The Thang:

I realized last night that we’re over half way to IPC 2021.  We don’t want to lose sight of that, so why not remind the PAX what it’s like.  For those that haven’t experience the joy of IPC, don’t let this scare you 🙂

Grabbed a coupon and started in our ‘Home Position’ on the little field and had Position 1 & 2 in opposite corners of the field.  The sequence goes like this:

• Run a lap
• 10x Thrusters w/ coupon
• Rifle carry to position 1 complete 14x bent over rows
• Rifle carry back to home & complete 10x Thrusters w/ coupon
• Rifle carry to position 2; complete 14x curls
• Rifle carry back to home
• Run a lap

Complete the above sequence 3x with positions 1 & 2 increase by 14 each time (28x & 42x for those math challenged early in the morning) because it’s April 14 (no significance, just couldn’t think of a good rep count when I started).

Grumbles of this ‘IPC thing’ from most of those who haven’t experienced it, so we needed to do more:

Same sequence as above, but on 5x Thrusters and the positions had new exercises:

• Position 1 = Goblet Squats (fun when we got to 42!)
• Postion 2 = Calf Raises (also fun at 42!)

Replace coupons.  Oh wait, we’re short on time!  The only way to get back quickly is to Bernie Sanders up the dam!  We caught a quick picture of the sunrise and headed back to the ‘flag’ (who has that by the way?!?) and completed some LBCs to finish out the last minute.  Done!

Great to see a DR PAX (Thanks for coming out Christopher Robin!) and some guys from other AOs.  They said they liked the 0600 start, which makes my evil plan to change it to 0530 that much harder.  When has that ever stopped any of us?!?! (cue evil laugh)
