Firehouse – Spring Training Rain Delay

AO: Firehouse

When: 02/18/2021

QIC: Ace Ventura

PAX (7): Ace Ventura, Suarez, Brady, Script Kiddie, Buckeye, Lightweight, Lifelock

Preamble:

7 PAX arrived to Spring Training to discover inclement weather for baseball.  Though this interrupted the plans for VQ of Ace Ventura, PAX were not deterred.  AX were confined to the pavilion clubhouse to play the “Deck of Death” card game.

Warm-O-Rama:

A short mosey was conducted to the rally point, where PAX did side straddle hops, weed pickers, hillbillies, sun gods, and reverse sun gods.

The Thang:

PAX cycled through an entire deck of cards, each card being between 1-13 exercises of mercans, American hammers, bench pull ups, or burpees.  The PAX cheered every time the burpee card was pulled, especially when a 11 burpee set was immediately followed by a 9 burpee set.

A wild card was added to the deck, including 2 sets of 20 jump squats.

Prior to COT, PAX each chose an additional exercise as follows:

Lightweight – Leg lifts

Lifelock – American Hammers

Brady – Squat hold 60 seconds

Script Kiddie – Ranger Mercans

Buckeye – Mountain Climbers

Suarez – Windshield wipers

COT:

At COT, Script Kiddie asked for prayers for his M’s cousin’s family, who lost a family member recently in a tragic car accident.  Brady asked for prayers regarding those suffering from extreme weather in Texas.  Ace Ventura sought prayers for those suffering (directly or indirectly) from COVID-19.

After COT, PAX enjoyed a few moments of fellowship, mostly discussing the lament of Lightweight and Ace Ventura wanting to eat cake and other foods detrimental to fitness goals.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

After COT, PAX enjoyed a few moments of fellowship, mostly discussing the lament of Lightweight and Ace Ventura wanting to eat cake and other foods detrimental to fitness goals.  Also protein shake powders were discussed; mostly when/what brand to use.  Normally this is where coffee would be had, but the Firehouse barista, Dash, was not present.
