Wet and Itchy Monday
AO: Bad Apple
When: 08/17/2020
QIC: Heidi
PAX (9): Brutus, Rusty, Woody, Lil Jon, Tubbs, Swamp Donkey, Ollie, Goat
Preamble:
Great group for Monday of getting down in some wet grass…
Warm-O-Rama:
Mosey over to front entrance of the school. Started with some arm circles as Goat steadied his heart rate. Took care of some SSH, Imperial Walker, Weed Picker, and Mountain Climbers (forgot how many… it’s a Monday).
The Thang:
Mosey back to the flag where I’ve been eye balling the hill for a few weeks. 6 PAX knocked out some 11’s with Burpees at the bottom and Big Boys at the top, 3 other PAX peeled off to reserve their legs for the Yes Man Mile.
1/2 mile run over to the Lacrosse field where it was time for some Black Jack. 21’s with Merkins and LBCs, run the width of the field in between the Merkins and LBCs. Two thirds of the way through YHC called to drop the run and finish out the 21’s so we could get another segment in, a little chatter as the run was a time to recover from the reps.
With the Black Jack out of the way it was time to circle up in the center of the Lacrosse field for a variation of the Big Bang. Start in plank position, YHC would call out a number and exercise. PAX would pop up and run away from the circle in the number of steps (determined by the number) and the number of reps (same number as steps) for the exercise called. Once complete run back to circle and plank for the Six and the next call out.
Big Bang Exercises:
- Lt. Dan (10)
- Diamond Merkins (15)
- Sprinter Lunge (10 – YHC was toast)
- Big Boy (20)
It was 6:13, 2 minutes left to get back to the flag. The other 7 exercises I had planned for the Big Bang will have to wait for another time. We got back to the flag a minute late, time management failure on YHC.
