Let’s Get Creative

Preamble:

It had been a while since I led a BD, so it was time to step up. I told everyone the day before to bring their pillows and dream journals because I had a fun-filled morning prepared. A few of the PAXs may have been expecting an easier BD, but that was definitely not the case.

Warm-O-Rama:

Mosey to the center of Soccer Field.

• 10x Side Straddle Hops
• 10x Imperial Walkers
• 10x Weedpickers

Short and sweet.

The Thang:

Mosey to the goal line for a team-based BD. We split into two teams of six, and everyone headed to one of the four corners of the soccer field (choosing a different starting spot for each of the four rounds). For the first two rounds, everyone started in one of the four positions. As soon as the PAX in position one finished their exercise they headed to the next position and joined with their team in a cumulative count. This continued until everyone regrouped at position four. For rounds 3 and 4, everyone raced to their starting position.

Round 1

• 25x Diamond Dry Docks
• 50x Jump Squats (cumulative group count)
• 100x Merkins (cumulative group count)
• 200x V ups with American Hammer* (cumulative group count)
• 25x Mountain Climbers each

Round 2

• Same as round 1

Round 3

• 25x Diamond Dry Docks
• 50x Jump Squats with Bonnie Blairs (cumulative group count)
• 100x Merkins with Frogger (cumulative group count)
• 200x V ups with American Hammer (cumulative group count)
• 25x Mountain Climbers each

Round 4

• Same as round 3

Mosey back to the flag for some extended time with Mary.

*Definitely a fan favorite.

COT:

Reminded everything of the need to grateful; especially given the state of the world. Prayer for people effected by Covid-19. Prayer for people in isolation, and people unable to travel to see family. We’re all getting used to a new normal (yes, I hate that phrase as much as you), and this gives us new opportunities to lead in our homes, workplaces, and relationships.
