48 and Counting

Preamble:

Yep, YHC turned a glorious 48 yesterday and enjoyed a fine celebration with friends and family. But now was time to face the music and sweat out all those indulgences. And  none too happy about the usual bday gift to be donned. But a healthy crowd awaited the festivities so no choice but to suck it up and carry the load.

Disclaimer – intentionally to Aflac’s chagrin there was ZERO planning for this beatdown other than our morning’s soundtrack. And a notion to outsource as much to Foley as possible.

Warm-O-Rama:

At 0530 we moseyed over to the dark side of the Wreck circling up at the RNE parking lot for a little warmup of SSHs, Imperial Walkers, Cotton…errrr…Weed pickers, and Mountain Climbers.

The Thang:

Another short mosey over to Tubbs’ favorite locale (GSW) where YHC polled Foley for the activities to ensue. Handstand merkins and Dirty Hookup were the selection, 15 each OYO.

Time for rinse and repeat with the addition of some Chicken Peckers x 15.

Round 3 added Donkey Kicks x15 to the mix. Some LBCs for the Six.

Round 4 per Juul’s request added Mike Tysons x 15. LBCs for the Six.

Sufficient mumble chatter here about some aching shoulders so Round 5 did not happen.

From there we moseyed around the backway to the playground for a round of Morning Call. PAX made short work of this.

With plenty of time left some quick thinking & improvisation gave us a little Dora 1-2-3. PAX Parterned up and began working on:

• 100 Merkins
• 200 Squats
• 300 LBCs

While Partner A knocks out reps Partner B runs up the ramp with 5 Burpees at the top and back down again. I think two rounds of this was all I could muster with the added weight. Thanks to Bronco for getting me out of that damn thing.

We wrapped this up with really no time left, but clearly not thinking straight we initiated one round of Foley before heading back to the flag with zero time for Mary.
