On a spring morning fully of chilly temps, and the promise of a glorious weekend, 4 “older” lads joined YHC for a beatdown largely focused on, the quads.
Warm-O-Rama: (All IC and X20) SSH, Imperial Walkers, Windmills, Sumo Squats, and 10 Stone Mountains to round out our 1st round of warm-up exercises. A short mosey over to the fire station and we did it all over again (x15 this time). But wait, what’s this. Stripper showed up late…again. Well better late than never, they say, especially where YHC is concerned.
The Thang: Mosey over to the older ball park road and down into the backside of the nature center, past the THOP and on around to the boardwalk, where we stopped to take on 3 sets of partner Merkins and 3 sets of partner Dips. Each set was OYO and x10. We continued our mosey, on around the board walk and up the hill to the playground for a brief respite. 10 Dips (OYO and x10), 10 Incline Merkins (OYO and x10). Mosey on around the trail and back down the hill to the tree stump garden. Alternating sets of Step-Ups, Incline Merkins and Dips. (all x10 and IC). Topped off by 10 jump ups. A short mosey up the hill to the parking lot.
Mary: (all X20 and IC) Low Dolly, Oblique Left, Oblique Right, Rosalita, LBC, and Mason Twists.
Mosey to the upper parking lot for a mini partner Dora (50-Merkins, 100 Squats, and 150 LBCs).
Mosey halfway up the DNC hill and a brief pause for 10 squats (IC and x20).
Final push up the hill – alternating lunge walks (x20 and OYO) and various squats. (x20 and IC) 3 rounds before a jail break out to the road.
Slowsy back to Austin to POP (Platform of Pain) for a final dose of Mary. (all X15 and IC) Low Dolly, Oblique Left, Oblique Right, Rosalita, Low Flutter, and Mason Twists. Timed LBCs, as many as you can muster OYO. Time.
COT – Leon took us out. And for the 2nd time in a month YHC was actually the WarBaby.
