Lumberghverse of Madness

Preamble:

A year ago as I took on Site Q Mayhem made a flattering remark on the future of BD’s we may see at Academy including the idea of Lumberghverse of Madness. And so that sat in my brain waiting for the right time to get it all together. It looks like a good morning.

Warm-O-Rama:

We did even less warmORama than most weeks which is less than none.

The Thang:

Many universes to explore across Academy. Let’s see where we end up:

• First portal led us to the Bojangles Trackiverse. This is what I mean by less warm o rama as we immediately start sprinting the straight aways around the track getting in a full mile before we are able to break out.
• Back to the lot where the Universe of Infinite Corners awaits around the parking lot light poles. More than the usual four we just have to keep circling until we find the key.
  • We did Mercans, Squats, Diamond Mercans, Jump Squats, Hand Release Mercans, and finally found we needed the help of Spider Man with Peter Parker Mercans to get out from endless corners.
• It looks like we are back home, but no something is off. It feels like a Monday. Our feet are glued to the ground. This is School of Rockiverse. 
  • Curls, Presses, Skull Crushers (or some semblance of them) Rows, Squats, and KB Swings help us get moving again with a rifle carry back toward the track. But I could tell Pax want to come back some Monday for more. Shout out Dipstick.
• But we avoid the Bojangles and instead end up in Caffey’s Stairiverse and the ghost of Caffey demands steps. A round of 7’s with dips and calf raises help but to ensure we don’t miss a step we double tab up right and left feet.
• A quick trip past Bojangles brings us to the most feared land. The Board of Painiverse. A group of past boards (and jpeg print outs of past boards apparently) demand work. The pax tackle a variety of exercises but it’s obvious even the boards are breaking a part with the rogue hashmarks (25 reps each) and made up exercises. (What even is a No-See-Um??)
  • The pax work for a solid 20 minutes hitting each board in some way or another to defeat them. Enough progress is made (even with the mumble chatter of the track ladies….that’s are thing, please quiet down) that we can head back to home
• A small round in the Maryverse and our adventure ends right on time.

COT:

• Praise for Mayhem’s brother and his successful cath and already feeling better.
• Prayers for Lyla as she searches for ailing answers

So thankful for a group that likes to play along, do some tough work, and laugh and chatter together. Academy is tough and I do my very best to leave behind doubts behind and push along side yall.
