Girl(friend)s of Jericho

Preamble:

Condtions at 0658: It’s cold. Really cold. I rucked for an hour and I’m still cold. 10 men circled up, the disclaimer was given, and we got moving along the main park road.

Warm-O-Rama:

Circle up at the top of the Widowmaker:

• SSH x 20
• Weedpicker x 13-14 or so (interrupted by a car)
• Copperhead Squat x 15
• Burpees x 10 OYO
• Control Freak Mercans (Q’s new favorite) x 5 – harder than it sounds I promise

Continue to mosey along the road and into the soccer field parking lot. DB drills through the parking lot. Circle up briefly at the parking lot exit for high knees while waiting for the 6. Then finally, mosey on to the playground parking lot and – It’s a Christmas Miracle – Ha-ha’s truck is there. And where the truck is, there too are the girlfriends…

The Thang:

Grab a girlfriend from the truck. Well, the trunk was frozen shut so we had to access the girlfriends from the back seat. Air chair with the girlfriend on your back while waiting for all the girls to get out. Then, mosey to the baseball fieldhouse where YHC had placed the board of pain.

Walls of Jericho (7 rounds):

• 7 Curls
• 7 Squats
• 7 American Hammers
• 7 Bagpees
• 7 Lateral Hops (over the bag)
• 7 Overhead Press
• 7 V-Ups
• 1 Lap around the fieldhouse with bag (increasing by 1 each time up to 7 laps the last time)

Air Chair with girlfriend on back after every round until everyone was in. As we got to the later rounds, YHC was almost sweating with 3 upper body layers but index fingers were still completely numb.

Ha-ha was the only one who remembered to yell on the last trip around (per the Exicon: “For extra you can always have PAX shout on the last set to give reverence to the story.”)

With time running low, it was time to Lt. Dan back to the truck and return the girlfriends. Mosey (feeling extra light) through the playground and back to the flag.

Time for two rounds of Mary- Flutter Kicks and Gas Pumpers. Fin.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

Speedo and I wondered during the ruck how many PAX would take the DRP on a cold Boxing Day. It was a good crowd and an honor to lead. Thanks to Ha-ha for bringing the girlfriends and running through the cold to/from the flag. Looking forward to more acceleration from this group and across our region in 2021!
