Hurt Locker 4.0; Fat Guy in a Little Coat

Preamble:

To keep the tradition alive and well, YHC took Q for a 40th birthday beatdown bonanza while sporting the 37lb. weighted vest.  The gift that keeps on giving.  To most PAX surprise, mine included, it actually fit quite well.  It was just meant to be.

Warm-O-Rama:

-quick disclaimers proceeded by the warm-o-Rama;

-10 side straddle hops, weed pickers, hill billies, imperial walkers, arm circles and Covid hugs.

-light mosey to the FOD & hit a full lap.

The Thang:

-Circled up, exactly 6ft. apart around home plate for the Deck of Death.  Went clockwise around the bend, with each PAX pulling a card from the deck, and calling out an exercise of their choosing that corresponded to the suite category and number of reps based on said card.  Hearts; abs/core, Diamonds; merkins; Spades; legs; Clubs; Burpees.  As was expected, a flurry of burpees ensued at the onset as one PAX after another proceeded to pull nothing but clubs (deck was properly shuffled, I promise)  That was especially enjoyable with a 40lb. vest on.  Furthermore, and I won’t name names (White Claw & DeVito), additional pain was administered via alpha count reps on diamond face cards.

With time running out, we mosied back to the flag to complete the last card pulled, Devito’s Queen of clubs.

-congrats to Cookie’s Mother on her recent retirement.

-YHC got sentimental and took a moment to reflect on the past 9 months of being a part of this great group, the positive impact it’s had on my life, and the good friends I’ve met along the way.
