Preamble:

Pothole texted me late last night that he was not well and could I Q? Sure! And since no one coming was there the last time I Qed I can do a rerun and they will never know!

0515 rolled around and no NLB this week. But 3 HIM were there so time to get after it!

Warm-O-Rama:

Keeping with Caney Creek tradition we did our parade lap of the parking lot and circled up for:

  • SSH
  • Weed Pickers
  • Windmill

 

The Thang:

We all grabbed a girlfriend from the truck and moved under cover for the main event. Although the main event would take us out frequently.

  • 100 Merkins in sets of 25
  • 100 BBSU in sets of 25
  • 100 Curls in sets of 25
  • 100 Squat press in sets of 25

After each set of 25 we ran up the stairs of Mount Caney and either looped around to the left and back down the trail or 2 loops of the stairs, Q’s choice.

We made it through the Merkins, BBSU and Curls but ran out of time before the Squats. We returned the girls to the truck and made one more trip up the stairs and back before ENDEX.

You know, some mornings you just don’t want to get out there. Be it rain or fatigue or lack of sleep. But if you make your default that you ARE getting up, more often than not you will. If you decide “well, I’ll see what I feel like in the morning” guess what the answer will be? The fartsack. Make a healthy routine for you. Whatever supports your goals and your fitness level. Then stick to the routine. Make it your normal. Then get out and make it happen.
