Corona Virus Big Bang Wipeout at the Hooch
AO: The Hooch
When: 03/04/2020
QIC: Homer
PAX (13): Flo, Popper, ReadyMix, Homer, Sunshine, Boomer, Doughboy, Animal, Cougar, Meatball, Splinter, Saint2.0, Piggy
Warm-O-Rama:
Standard Disclaimer. YHC has gotten lazy with this part, and needs to ensure that it’s communicated to the friendly and fairly new guys. Mosey Lap around the parking lot and end up by Hurricanes. Round up for:
- Little Baby Arm Circles
- Weedpicker
- Side Straddle Hop
- Imperial Walker
The Thang:
Mosey to Homer’s Donut. Yep… but first may as well get our butts wet since we will be spending some time on the ground later… quick round of American Hammer. Finish up with a fun bear crawl around the donut.
Mosey to the Atrium Parking area for a Big Bang… or as we’re gonna call it the Corona Virus. The Exicon defines Big Bang as:
PAX form small circle, everyone in a plank, shoulder-to-shoulder. Place headlamp in the center. Q calls out a number and exercise. For example, “10 burpees,” means PAX stand up in an explosion of energy, run directly away from center of circle 10 yards/paces and do 10 burpees, then run back to the center and plank for the 6. Each PAX must find their own route away from the center of circle. Obstacles–ditches, trees, pits–are encouraged, but next round can’t start until all PAX accounted for. Generally performed in increasing counts (10 paces/reps, 20 paces/reps, 30 paces/reps, 40 paces/reps, 50 paces/reps) representing the ever-expanding universe.
For this Hooch Pax, YHC decided we’d do 10,20,30,40, and 50 FLUtter Kicks. (see what I did there?)
Mosey to green astroturf by playground. Homer Wipes out again. Think that was the 4th time at the Hooch. This one hurt a little more than normal. Gonna feel it later.
Blackjack time on the Astroturf. Merkins and LBCs. Short side run.
Mosey around backside of church and up the sidewalk to chapel parking area.
Snake Indian Run until we had to cross the road.
Eventual AYG to the flag and ended with a few wet and a few less wet exercises.
COT:
Praises for Lucy’s clean health news. Praises for the boys who finished the 1/2 marathon this past weekend.
