2nd Q for by BD week, and at a location that became my 2nd home AO. It’s really an honor for me to lead the PAX at the Gladiator and I’m thankful for the opportunity.
I planned a BD with (almost) no counting just for DC2, but he did not come! Alas.
Quick mosey around the parking lot, with some high knees and ass kickers. Circle up for 10 Windmills IC, 5 Burpees OYO, 10 Hill Billies IC and 10 Squats IC.
We run the the nearby building where YHC set up a board of pain and some music.
3 rounds. Each round has 3 exercises. In between there are Bonus Rounds.
In each round one partner is running to touch the building on the other side of the parking lot and back (should be ~1 min run) while the other is doing the exercise – AMRAP – then switch. Each exercise is being done twice by each partner before moving to the next exercise. When both partners finish the 3rd exercise twice, plank for the 6 so we can do the Bonus Round together.
Round #1: Step ups, Plank Jacks, Freddie Mercury
Bonus Round: Burp&Merk. 5 Burpees with increasing number of merkins. First one is a regular burpee, the 2nd has 2 merkins, the 3rd 3 and so till 5 merkins. Then 5 more going down the ladder from 5 to 1 for a total of 10.
As we were nearing the time, YHC called back to the flag before we were able to complete 2nd round of Flatter Kicks. However, we did have a few precious seconds to do 5 Body Builders (Burpee with a Plank Jack).
Spandex’s friend suffered multiple losses in the family as well as divorce. Prayers he’ll be able to recover and start a new path.
