The 22’s: Monday Morning style

Preamble:

Mondays: they don’t get easier, you just get better at managing them…and a Bad Apple beatdown helps a lot.  With PAX headcount slowly but steadily increasing, YHC has found that it’s just more efficient to stick with good ol’ bodyweight calisthenics and running to get the job done.  After a quick welcome to a couple of FNGs and disclaimer, we got down to business.

Warm-O-Rama:

SSH’s, Imperial Walkers, Mtn climbers 15 rep’s each IC.  Moseyed up the hill to pull up station for the buy-in: 2-4-6 pull ups with Merkins for PAX awaiting their turns.

The Thang:

the 22’s WO in parts 1 and Deux:

mosey to parking lot for 11’s Merkin-lunge edition.  Once completed, YHC lead the PAX to the bus line portico for…

11’s squats-renegade row edition.  Finished set, said “good morning” to the first of Sweet Apple Elementary staff arriving for work and moseyed off to soccer field parking lot.

At parking lot, the PAX got busy with their second set of 11’s: lunge-Merks.  a few ambitious PAX finished their sets early, so, a couple of rounds of Mary were completed.

Once the 6 was in, lead the PAX back up the trail to the pull up station for the (almost) buy-out: 6-4-2 commando style pull ups.  PAX awaiting their turns pushed out additional Merks.

With 7 minutes left on the clock, the PAX went down to the school lot to finish their final set of 11’s squat-renegade row edition.  Good work by all on knocking out the final set.  No time remained for additional Mary today…and aren’t y’all glad I split up the sets of 22’s? (you’re welcome!)

COT:

2 FNG’s completed their baptism by F3 fire this morning and were christened, “Sparty” (Max Weiskopf) and “Norwood” (Steve Weiskopf) by Bad Apple PAX during name-o-rama.  Prayers said for our nation, its leadership at all levels and our families and all the students and teachers returning to school this week.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

While Monday mornings aren’t always enjoyable, meeting my F3 brothers in the gloom to run through walls (or do lots of Merkins as was the case) is exactly what I need to begin my day.  Sprocket out.
