Preamble:

Perfect beatdown temperatures. Off we go.

Warm-O-Rama:

Moseyed towards the nearest fields, circled up, completed 15 weed pickers, 15 side straddle hops and 15 windmills.

The Thang:

We started with a 3-man Dora, forming groups of three with extras jumping in like surprise guests at a Taylor Swift concert. The Dora format went as follows:

Static Exercise: At one end of the field.

25-Yard Exercise: A quick out-and-back.

Run: To the other end of the field and back.

With Max Martin’s hit songs setting the tempo, we changed exercises whenever the song switched.

Exercise Playlist:

Burpees, Lunges, Run — For ”…Baby One More Time”

Squats, Bear Crawl, Run — Paying homage to “I Want It That Way”

Carolina Dry Docks, Lunges, Run — To the tune of “Since U Been Gone”

Crab Cakes, Crab Walk, Run — As we channeled “Shake It Off”

We ran through this playlist twice.

We then lined up at one end of the field. We sprinted to the halfway line, did 5 burpees, and moseyed back. The kicker? If the Q reached the halfway line first, we’d have to do 20 burpees. Thankfully, the Q could not get out of first gear and he looked for parking.

 

We then moseyed back to the stadium to finish with a medley of core exercises:

There is one more spot open for the Smoky Mountain Relay. Our prayers went out to Cam's family, Stu's mom and health of friends.
