Preamble:

Picked up the Q from Mounty, who unfortunately hurt his hand 2 days ago. As I just celebrated 21 years of marriage, I chose 21 as the theme of today. A big group was waiting at the parking lot with some faces that are new for Boneyard, telling me IPC this week must be really bad.

Warm-O-Rama:

Quick disclaimer was given. Run in the parking lot toward the pickle ball courts. Bernie back. Mix some side shuffles as well. Circle up for Weed Pickers and Imperial Walkers. The theme for today explained and we started with "21" (21 SSH done in cadence, but only the first 5 called out loud. PAX expected to finish together). First round did not go well. I blame Fannypack for his mind games. 5 Burpee penalty. Second try was much better.

The Thang:

Part 1 - Mosey to the field behind the pavilion. Placed a cone somewhere to the right of the mid-field. From the cone run to one corner of the field for 21 Merkins, then to the other corner (short side of the field) for 20 Big Boys and to the cone for 19 Squats. Continue running between those 3 points for decreasing counts - 18 Merkins, 17 Big Boys, 16 Squats... all the way to 1 Squat. To delay the gazelles a bit - first PAX to reach a point will Bear Crawl the next segment.
When all done PAX circled up and each was asked to call out loud which part of the body they want/need to focus on - Upper, Core or Lower. We then moseyed to the pavilion where a Board of Pain was waiting. All counts are 21. If the exercise is marked as Upper, Core or Lower then you'll double up based on your choice.
  • Hand Release Burpees
  • Flutter Kicks, alpha count (Core)
  • Shoulder Taps, alpha count (Upper)
  • Lunges, singles (Lower)
  • Run to the small library and back
  • Side Straddle Hops, 4-count
  • Wide or Diamond Merkins (Upper)
  • Monkey Humpers (Lower)
  • Freddie Mercury, alpha count (Core)
  • Run to the small library and back
  • Mountain Climbers, 4-count
  • Backward Lunges, singles (Lower)
  • LBCs, 4-count (Core)
  • Dips (Upper)
  • Run to the small library and back
The gazelles started Mary till the 6 came. We all moseyed back to the flag and continued the Mary for 3 more minutes.

COT:

Humperdinck was chosen as the 6th, though he was the 8th, so we can get to know him better. I asked for prayers for my family who are coming from overseas and already had some last moment big changes to their flights. I hope all will go well.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

A big thank you for this group. I don't think I would have reached my 21 years anniversary with my wife without F3, or if I would then my relationship would be a far weaker one. The men of F3 helped me a lot, some with advise and some just by listening.
