When: 2024-07-26

QIC: The Real Woody

PAX (12): Brutus, Buckshot, Chalupa, Chubbs, Roman, Rusty, Sprocket, Sweep3r, Tank, The_OG Zima, Pushback

Preamble:

Having a full Q sheet at the Baddest AO in the Alpha, YHC kept his commitment to leading the PAX through a Friday BD that would provide gains.  Of course, this came on the heels of a torn hamstring from a week earlier where the bruising and swelling was still visible.  Therefore, there would be no running and pre-blast instructions were given to bring a cinder. Beautiful morning, and a couple of the PAX, Tank & Sweeper, showed their commitment to putting in the work by running 7 miles to the gloom prior too the BD. FNG rolled up, disclaimer given, LETS GO!

Warm-O-Rama:

Sun Gods -OYO Michael Phelps - OYO 13 Hillbillies 13 MTN Climbers High plank, Low Plank, Etc. 13 Merkins in cadence

The Thang:

PAX were instructed to pickup their cinder and we were going to take a mile lap of Badapple with 8 stations representing the Octagon cage.  This was conceived of course, when YHC recently bought some tix to go see a popular in some circles band, Cage the Elephant.  With no running and all fighting with a cinder, it made sense in YHC's warped mind. First order of business was for each of the PAX to count off by 2s.  PAX also instructed not to put down or drop Cindy Lou unless QIC said so...and you were to keep track of that.  More on that later. Then we rifled carried Cindy around the mile path.

AMRAP exercise for 1 minute.

stops 1, 8  -Curls, Skulls -15 each

stops 2, 7 - Lawn mow(each arm) repeat -15

stops 3, 6 - Merkins- Dec, Reg Merkins (repeat)-5 each

stops 4, 5 - Upright Rows

We did manage to throw in a Morning Call of 5 Pullups, 5 Merkins...And an AMRAP of LBCs

At the base of Zima's Hill, it was determined that the 1s only had 2 PAX drop their cinders, while the 2s (including YHC - ouch) dropped theirs 3 times.

Add up all the times dropped x5 merkins those with less do 1x, those more to 2x each. ( 15 for 1s, 30 for 2s)

Back at the flag...we may have gone over by a minute or two.  EXTRA CREDIT!

COT:

We welcomed a Scottish, Atlanta native, Bourbon and Cigar loving, Humanitarian Frogman FNG to the fold, @Pushback.  Don't ask, don't tell! Praise. Prayers for the PAX, community and unspoken requests.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

Always a privilege to lead these men and be out there.  Will miss it while YHC takes some time to get healthy and heal.
