Preamble:

Pre-blast: The Rubicon pax love to play games, so game on. I was hoping for Trebek to make an appearance but he’s DR.

Warm-O-Rama:

2 laps in the parking lot. Mumble chatter how long we’ll be running. answer: till we get there. Some high knees and butt kickers too.

SSH, Imperial Walkers, Moroccan Night Clubs, Weed Pickers (done right), World’s Greatest Stretch.

The Thang:

Mosey down to the Pavilion, apparently nicknamed Herpes Pavilion? good thing YHC didn’t know. A board of pain was presented with 4×4 sticky notes, Jeopardy-style: 4 categories, Legs, Arms, Core and Cardio and 4 counts, 10, 20, 50 and 100. 16 of us, 16 cards. It was meant to be. A PAX takes a card and on the other side the workout is listed. YHC called to partner ahead of time, as some cards call for a partner. I don’t recall the exact order but we completed all the cards (some audibles called on the last two due to time constraints).

  • 10 Legs: Partners. One PAX does 10 alpha count Bonnie Blairs while partner air chairs. switch. 3 sets (Audible – 2 sets).
  • 20 Legs: 20 Steps ups, single. 20 Box Jumps. 20 Calf Raises.
  • 50 Legs: 50 Imperial Walkers, alpha count.
  • 100 Legs: Partners, dora. One PAX starts Squats while the other Bear Crawls a short length and mosey back. Switch till reach a sum of 100 reps.
  • 10 Arms: Partners. One pax does 10 Hand-Release-Release Merkins while the other planks. Switch. 2 Sets (Audible – 1 set and back to flag). Note: Some pax didn’t know this one. I think we need to do more of it, to make sure everyone are properly familiar.
  • 20 Arms: 20 Dips, 20 Shoulder Taps alpha, 20 Makhtars (high plank to low plank and back).
  • 50 Arms: 50 air Presses.
  • 100 Arms: Partners, dora. On the grassy area next to the pavilion. One PAX starts the Merkins while other one runs up quickly and back. Switch till reach a sum of 100.
  • 10 Core: 10 Wolverins. always a fun one.
  • 20 Core: 20 Big Boy Sit-ups, 20 Freddie Mercury alpha, 20 Flatter Kicks alpha.
  • 50 Core: 50 American Hammer alpha count.
  • 100 Core: Partner, not a dora. Each PAX does 100 LBCs while partner holds 6″. Break up and switch as needed (for example, every 25 reps).
  • 10 Cardio: we went up to the parking lot. YHC pointed to two sets of Bumpers as the Sprint distance. 10 Sprints OYO.
  • 20 Cardio: 20 Burpees. Avis was so happy, PAX thought he made it up.
  • 50 Cardio: 50 Mountain Climbers, alpha.
  • 100 Cardio: 100 SSH.

COT:

Special K was the 6. Good origin story.
