Preamble:

6 years ago I posted for the first time at the Gladiator. Could not have imagined then that I'd drive nearly 20 minutes to lead a workout today. And yet here I am, thanks to Knight Rider for the special invite. PAX were promised an upper body explosion. Let's go!!

Warm-O-Rama:

Short mosey and then complete:
  • Imperial Walker
  • Weedpicker (slow)
  • Side Straddle Hop
  • Copperhead Squat
Maybe something else.

The Thang:

We moseyed across the way to that other parking lot. Bear crawl from the start to the middle island, lunge walk back. Repeat, bunny hop back. Repeat, run back. Then we ran to the pavilion. 5 each: Burpee Stepups, Dips, Squats, Dercans. Repeat with 10, 15, and 20 reps. Many questions about if we would continue to go up, or maybe even go back down. Nope, that's enough for now. Mosey to the rock pile. Grab a good rock and return to the parking lot for a Gorilla Complex. 8 each: Curls, High Pulls, Overhead Press, Skull Crushers, Mercans. Run to the end of the parking lot and back, leaving your rock at the start. I think we did 6 rounds and then back to the flag. We had about 8 minutes, so we held a plank and reviewed the 5 core principles. At least our current Site Q and Nantan Emeritus knew them! Hey speaking of Site Qs- where were all the Emereti? Dr. Rico, we miss you. We did 6 burpees to celebrate 6 years. We got through a few rounds of Mary with many PAX getting a chance to lead. And that was it.

COT:

YHC was the honorary 6th man and shared my origin story and a tiny piece of what F3 has brought me. Other business:
  • Speed 4 Need - Oshkosh leading- see Slack
  • Prayers for Knight Rider and family
  • Praise for Ha-ha's daughter being moved in to her new place
  • Cumming Out Party Saturday at Fowler Park, 0700

Naked-Man Moleskin:

6 years- wow! I can't thank Spandex enough for a life-changing invite. I don't know what I expected the first day I showed up at ERP, but I found something that I needed. In the 6th man today I talked about the community- thinking about my neighborhood and the greater Alpha region. But I can list at least 5 memories off the top of my head about the worldwide F3 community. DirtyMO asked about my F3Pittsburgh shirt and I mentioned FIAB gave it to me. But I didn't mention that in 15 minutes after pinging F3Pittsburgh on Twitter (uh, X), FIAB responded and offered to pick me up at my hotel. So many stories- ask for one next time you see me! Aye!!
