WHIPLASH

Preamble:

Lots of excuses for being late this morning.  It wasn’t a failure to plan.   S%^$ happens, quite literally this morning.  I’ll save that for the end.  Anyway Splits and I rolled in and found Jackalope in full effect.  I’d missed the memo on something but no time to chat about it now.

Warm-O-Rama:

Mosey to the FOD for a fast but thorough warm up, including SSH, Windmills, weedpickers, and arm circles.

The Thang:

The Thang was a 7 of Diamonds.  Seven times around the bases as bulleted below.  We did the following at each base:

• 7 Absolutions
• 14 Lunges (Single)
• 21 Mercans
• 28 Side Straddle Hop
• 21 Imperial Squat Walkers
• 14 Big Boys
• 7 Absolutions

The WHIPLASH is what you get when every other song on the playlist is a ~ 1 minute, soft, and pensive instrumental.  Whoah!  When you start feeling those feelings, it’s time to do ten burpees.  We got in 90 burpees throughout the morning.

Prayers for the family and team members (Red Ryder) of a young man who passed recently at 29 years old.

Prayers for Special K’s daughter who is going in for jaw surgery and will have a couple of months of recovery.

Prayers for Jackalope and his family as they navigate a move (this Saturday) and the recent passing of his M’s mother.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

Speaking of driving fast… My apologies for coming in late.  I came in on two wheels this morning for a variety of reasons.  They are great reasons and I’ll give them below.  But it sucks to be late and I hate it.  Again, I’m sorry.

• One, I was up late preparing for my M’s birthday today.  Extra stress on me because I’m famous for screwing up important days.  Also later bedtimes make slower starts.
• Two, when I woke up, I found two steaming piles of dog $#@% and a giant pee stain outside my bedroom door.  I had to clean those up before heading out, because that would be a sucky way for my M to start her day.
• Three, as my 2.0 and I were about to drive out, he realized he didn’t have any gloves for the BD.  So we ran back in and got those.

Life’s what you make of it, and I’m choosing to make it a good day.  Thanks for playing along this morning and great work by all of you.
