And Their Balls grew 3 sizes that day

Preamble:

Pre-run or ruck?  It was 2 degrees with a windchill of -2 so no pre anything other then pre or re-thinking of why we were going to ruck on the coldest day of 2022.

Everyone rolled in and was ready to go and SK aka I was very thankful for SirMixalot’s extra pair of Ninja Ice gloves and Suarez’s extra face mask to help me not be a human popsicle during the ruck.  I think I have been in GA to long and not prepared for this cold stuff.

Warm-O-Rama:

Warm up – no warm up just on to the main event aka 6 very frigid PAX starting the Ruck the disclaimer was given but the whole don’t push yourself to far was pretty much out the window with all of us having some part of the body that was either very cold or numb.

The Thang:

Suarez had the Q so we took 3  laps with our rucks around the AO.   As we went along we did warm up and regain feeling to most parts of the body then ended up at the big Christmas tree in front of the Racing hall of fame, took the picture then wisely headed back to the cars to get to Bojangles to get warmed up and grab some coffee.

COT:

Did the nameorama in Bojangles once we got seated.

Coffeeteria was at Bojangles and with us finally getting warm and full feeling/blood flow returning to our bodies, SirMixalot made the modified Grinch reference that earned the honor of being the name of the BD- “And their balls grew 3 sizes that day”….. LOL.

After some good discussion it was time to head out and get prepped for the events of they day since it was Christmas Eve.

I am proud of the HIM that weathered the cold to push each other way past the comfort zone to accomplish this Christmas ruck, plus it was nice meeting Thumper and seeing some of the slightly crazy men of the Dawson subregion.  Also thanks to Suarez for taking the Q on what worked out to be the coldest day of 2022.
