Four square and 20 years ago

Preamble:

Two prerunners and a 6-point buck greeted me shortly after I pulled in.  Only the runners stayed for the beatdown.  An unfamiliar car was parked as well and Macbeth informed me we would have an FNG!  Cars kept pouring in, even after the disclaimer was started so we moseyed around the parking lot (the first of several trips around parking lots this morning) and ended back at the flags for the warmup.

The Thang:

Mosey to the first of a tour of the park’s parking lots and other rectangular spaces.  We started at the lot by the pavilion where we found that guy by himself in the bathroom one cold morning.  Simple four corners.  15 merkins (dealers choice) at each corner then merkins for the six.

Mosey to the cheese grater for 15 squats at each corner then squats for the six.

Mosey down Fouts to the stop sign where we stopped to regroup and do 5 burpees just for fun.

Mosey to the library parking lot for 15 big bois at each ‘corner’ then big bois for the six.

Mosey down the park path to the hard left turn where we again regrouped and did 5 more burpees.

Mosey to the parking lot at the top of the back hill for 15 Carolina dry docks at each corner.  Pax were given the option to do dry docks for the six or do dips on the curb.

Mosey down the hill to the first tennis courts where we did 15 monkey humpers at each corner.  Bo Knows added his awesome sound effects on round 4 to wake the neighbors.

Mosey to the next set of tennis courts where we did 15 American hammers (alpha) at each corner.

Down the darkest stairs in the park then over to the parking lot by the rec center.  YHC called for some Diamond Donkeys.  15 diamond merkins in the odd-numbered corners and 15 donkey kicks in the even-numbered corners.  Hold a diamond plank for the six.

Mosey back to the flag for some mary including flutters, something I can’t remember and Moonshine called for the alphabet thing he likes so much.  YHC got to the letter K before time was called.

COT:

Prayers lifted up for Bo Knows and his M as she continues her treatment for breast cancer.  Let’s keep this prayer chain going!!!  They are in a battle and we can all help by lifting them up in prayer.

Prayers for the BRR and GRT guys.  Prayers for safe travels, endurance, perseverence and safe return.

Prayers for all those unspoken requests and concerns.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

I didn’t have time to offer this up today since we had an FNG who needed naming.  Next weekend my youngest son turns 20.  His name is Joel (F3 Ozone) and he is a really terrific young man.  I just wanted to honor him today by naming the beat down after him (20 year reference).  He’s not perfect but he is remarkable in so many ways and I’m proud to be his dad.
