YHC showed up nervous and with a full heart.  Queing for NLB is an honor but also a responsibility to not be taken lightly.  YHC planted the flag, and put the jump ropes, agility ladder, and plate weights into position.

Warm-O-Rama:

Short mosey to the security shack and back to basketball court.

Warm-up:

10 Side straddle hops

10 Weed pickers

The Thang:

PAX counted off into groups.  A dry erase board was in the corner with a list of exercises that each PAX was responsible for contributing to their group (and if they decided to do so, could negotiate trading exercises within their group. The board was intentionally designed to be difficult and knowing it was extremely unlikely someone would complete it.

150 Merkins

50 Sandbag Squats

10 laps (to the security shack and back)

150 sandbag curls

300 Side straddle hops

200 Air squats

300 LBCs

100 Lunges

100 Donkey Kicks (yes, Zohan, I was right on what a donkey kick was, and you were wrong!)

50 Burpees

150 Hillbilies

30 Icky Shuffles (agility ladder)

30 double step runs (agility ladder)

50 Jump rope rotations

With 10 minutes left, YHC ended the main portion of the beatdown.  A quick mosey and back to then do some Mary.

There were numerous picks made, but they were not recalled by YHC at this point.

COT:

We had a good discussion in COT about supporting the men through their struggles.

Zohan shared his experience at the celebration of life for Ready Mix.  He said it was one of the must humbling experiences of his life, and that there were so many people there and all sharing amazing stories about what a man he was.

Two of the men specifically requested prayers for their families as they are also struggling through the changes these men are going through to improve their life.

Prayers were also offered up to Glitter, who is awaiting medical news.

SUAREZ’S CARNITAS!!!!!

Suarze can cook tacos like no other person I have met.  The pork was delicious.

We sat and broke bread with these men and had some amazing conversations about life, struggles, and how we all can continue to improve our lives.

As usual, it is an honor to host this event.  Any day you can hit all 3 Fs in one day, it’s a fantastic day.
