Preamble:

Fresh off a pre-run with 11 PAX, YHC was ready to see where this Q would take us.  It was time to bring back the 20-sided dice for some more fun, but without the D&D fantasy theme this time.  The Cumming PAX seem better suited to gambling so YHC obliged.

Warm-O-Rama:

Mosey around to wait for Fiddler to park and join us and then circle up for SSH, Abe Vigoda, weed picker, sprinkler IC

The Thang:

Simple theme of the BD – Over/Under.  The Q rolls the die once to set the house number and then one PAX calls over or under and rolls again to see if he beats the house.  If he wins, PAX are “rewarded” with less pain; if he loses, sucks to be the PAX.

We did traveled around and did 4 rolls at 4 stations with one roll at each stop for arms, legs, core, and cardio.

Not too much to report here as YHC was making it up on-the-fly but a few highlights/observations:

  • after much grumblechatter about YHC arbitrarily picking exercises and rep counts after the rolls, the Q acquiesced and started calling out the reward and punishment beforehand, which actually made this much more exciting
  • 40 Bonnie Blairs alpha count sucks
  • Most PAX made statistically and mathematically sound choices with the help of Emeril who loves numbers.
    • The one exception was when Cingular called under on a house roll of 1 and landed the PAX 60 merkins…boss move right there
  • Inseam saved the PAX from 50 burpees on the last roll, wisely choosing the under on a house roll of 10.
  • Pretty even split of house wins vs. PAX wins

Mosey back to the flag for some Kobe’s and Dolly’s to finish us out.

COT:

Praises for the return of SaaSy Mom, who was away working on himself but watching and getting inspiration from the PAX on Slack all along.  We missed and love him and were so happy to see him in the gloom again.  Great reminder of how our actions impact others even when we don’t know they’re watching.

Praises for Snowman’s continued infectious personality and presence that keeps bringing colleagues to him to lean on for strength.  Also prayers for his co-worker going through a divorce with young children

Continued prayers for Chinstrap and his M.

Praises for the newfound moral support and camaraderie Valley Girl has with SaaSy Mom.
