Mountain….Climb…Jack…shoulder…wait….what?!

Preamble:

Always looking to get a full body workout and I’m really into the backwards running thing, so as always I tried to get creative.

Warm-O-Rama:

Mosey’d to the usual intersection at the bottom of the hill for some weedpickers, WMH, good mornings, hillbillys, SSH and MNC.

The Thang:

Stayed there and utilized the long incline up to the upper parking lot.  Fowler recently put in some convenient no parking signs along the hill, 6 of them, and they make good landmarks.

Thang 1: Bernie Sanders to the top, stopping at each sign and doing Mountain Jack Taps.  Huh?  Combination of mountain climber, plank jack and shoulder tap.  5 at each sign.

Run backwards back down, stopping at each sign for 5 burpees.

Thang 2:  Mosey’d over to the large parking lot in front of the rec center.  4 corners -run around the outside of the lot ( @  1/4 mile) stop at each corner perform 10 Merkins, 10 Bobby Hurleys, and 10 Dolly’s.  Also stop at each street light you pass, 10 of them, and drop and do a wolverine.
Next round, same loop, but do 10 Mike Tyson’s and 10 Bonnie Blairs alpha in each corner.  At each streetlight drop and do 2 M’akhtar N’dayie.  (sp)

Just got finished and ran back to the flag.

Good discussion in the circle this morning.  Strength out to those seeking prayers and Godspeed: Inseams wife with some work issues, Swiper’s dad with prostate cancer, Napalm’s friend Evelyn and her plight, Snowman’s friend Kanon and strength to his family, Crabcake with a work issue to deal with.

NLB BD and dinner this Saturday.

Whiz with a good TNT, drawing on his recent 50K with Crabcake and Emeril, around believing in yourself when looking at something challenging or difficult.  Set your mind to it and you can accomplish great things.
